Your AI Doesn't Always Need to Give You the Answer! Ask AI What You're Missing

Sometimes I don't need AI to create anything for me.

I need it to look at what I've already created and tell me what I'm missing.

Before I finalize a plan, proposal, strategy, email, project or idea, I can give it to AI and ask it to look for gaps I may not have considered.

Because sometimes what causes the problem isn't what you included.

It's what you forgot. 👀

💡 THE GOAL:Use AI as another set of eyes BEFORE you move forward.

How to Ask AI What You’re Missing

Give AI whatever you're working on.

That might be:

  • A business plan

  • Proposal

  • Event plan

  • Marketing strategy

  • Email

  • Project outline

  • Meeting agenda

  • Presentation

  • Process

  • Content strategy

  • Decision you're considering

Then don't just ask:

“Does this look good?”

That's way too easy. 😂

Ask AI to challenge it.


📋 Copy My “What Am I Missing?” Prompt

Review the information below as a critical second set of eyes.Do not simply tell me that the plan looks good.Help me identify what I may be missing before I move forward.Please identify:Important information that appears to be missing.Questions I have not answered.Assumptions I may be making.Potential risks or problems I have not considered.People, resources or dependencies that may need to be included.Areas that are unclear or could be misunderstood.Decisions that still need to be made.Anything that could reasonably fall through the cracks.Separate genuine gaps from optional improvements.Do not invent problems just to produce a longer answer.Here is what I'm working on:[PASTE OR ATTACH HERE]

After it reviews everything, ask:

If this fails, what are the three most likely reasons based on what I've given you?

👀👀👀

Now we're not just polishing the plan.

We're pressure-testing it before we execute it.

Don't Automatically Do Everything AI Suggests

IMPORTANT.

AI finding a “gap” doesn't automatically mean it's actually a problem.

Some suggestions won't apply to your situation.

Some risks may already be handled somewhere AI can't see.

And sometimes AI will simply overthink it. 😂

Use the response to ask better questions, then use your judgment to decide what actually needs to change.
