Your Free AI Daily Briefing Setup

Welcome! 👋🏽 If this is your first time meeting us, we're Armina Consulting. We teach practical AI and help people implement it in the work they're already doing.

This resource is part of our 30 Days of 30-Second AI Hacks I Use to Run My Business series. Today's tool is one of the systems we use to make AI useful in everyday operations.

☀️Start your day with clarity, not chaos.

This setup helps you use ChatGPT as a morning briefing assistant so you can quickly see what matters, what needs attention, and where to focus first.

What is an AI Daily Briefing?

Instead of opening ChatGPT every morning and trying to remember everything you need to ask, create a repeatable briefing that organizes your day for you.

Your briefing can help you review:

  • Today's schedule

  • Your most important priorities

  • Follow-ups that need attention

  • Unfinished work

  • Meetings you need to prepare for

  • Things you may be forgetting

  • Your recommended focus for the day

Important: ChatGPT can only brief you on information it actually has access to. Never ask it to guess missing appointments, tasks, emails, or business information.

Step 1: Copy Your Daily Briefing Prompt 📋

COPY THIS PROMPT

Create my Daily Briefing for today.

Help me understand what I have happening today, what needs my attention, outstanding follow-ups, unfinished priorities, and anything time-sensitive.

Organize my briefing into:

  1. Today's Schedule

  2. Top 3 Priorities

  3. Follow-Ups

  4. Unfinished Business

  5. Meetings or Tasks I Should Prepare For

  6. Things I May Be Forgetting

  7. Recommended Focus

Keep it concise, practical, and actionable. Put the most important information first.

Do not invent missing information. If you do not have enough information for a section, tell me what information or connection would make that section more useful.

Step 2: Personalize It

The prompt above is your starting point. Make the briefing fit the way you work.

Try adding instructions like:

  • "Give me a 60-second overview at the top."

  • "Tell me what can wait until tomorrow."

  • "Flag anything overdue or time-sensitive."

  • "Tell me which meetings need preparation."

  • "Separate business tasks from personal tasks."

  • "Give me my top three priorities even if my task list is long."

  • "End with the one thing I should accomplish today if nothing else gets done."

💡 ARMINA TIP: Don't add every possible section just because you can. Your briefing should reduce overwhelm, not create a prettier version of it.

Step 3: Give ChatGPT Useful Context

A briefing becomes more useful when ChatGPT has reliable information to work with.

Depending on the ChatGPT features and connections available to you, that context might come from information you provide in the conversation, your projects/workspace, connected apps, or other sources you intentionally make available.

If your AI does not have access to your calendar, tasks, email, or other information, that's okay. Start simple. Give it the information you want included.

Simple Version

At the end of your workday, give ChatGPT:

  • Anything you didn't finish

  • Follow-ups you need to make

  • Tomorrow's important appointments

  • Deadlines

  • Your current priorities

Then use the Daily Briefing prompt the next morning.

More Advanced Version

If you have supported tools or connected apps available, you can build a briefing around more of the information you already use to run your day.

Always review what information an app can access before connecting it, and don't give an AI system sensitive information it doesn't need.

Step 4: Make It Automatic

If your version of ChatGPT supports scheduled tasks or automations, create a recurring morning task using your Daily Briefing prompt.

Use an instruction like:

⏰ SCHEDULE INSTRUCTION

Every morning, create my Daily Briefing using my Daily Briefing instructions. Use only information available to you, clearly identify anything that needs my confirmation, and do not invent missing tasks, events, or follow-ups.

Choose a time that gives you the briefing before your workday starts.

If scheduling isn't available to you, save the prompt somewhere easy to reach and run it manually each morning. The workflow still works.

Step 5: Make It Smarter Over Time

After using your briefing for a few days, pay attention to what you actually read.

If you always skip a section, remove it.

If you're constantly asking the same follow-up question, add that instruction to the briefing.

If something important is consistently missing, figure out whether the briefing needs better instructions or better information.

The goal isn't the longest briefing. The goal is to know what matters faster.

My Favorite Add-On

Add this to the bottom of your prompt:

🎯 "Based on everything above, if I can only accomplish three things today, tell me which three deserve my attention and briefly explain why."

Now your briefing doesn't just organize information. It helps you turn information into a plan.
